Mountain View
Historic Preservation
This designated historic Mountain View Craftsman property was revamped to fit the culturally diverse owners, bringing color and excitement while preserving the historical significance of the home.
We worked with the client to co-design this outdoor space to create their ideal garden, something that would emanate the English and French countryside in honor of the couple’s cultural heritage. Wisteria, Hydrangeas, Dogwood, David Austin Roses, as well as fruit trees like the Meyer Lemon, Makrut Lime and Espalier Apple create this atmosphere, which is furthered by the moonlight garden designed around the Olive tree with white flowering Salvia ‘Waverly’. The deck and fences also underwent a makeover, the high-maintenance wood that always needed restaining replaced with durable brick that will age with patina. Working from home now, rather than a once unused lawn, they see a thriving garden that is diverse, beautiful and functional.
