If multipurpose was ever on the agenda, this design is the ultimate answer. A small corner space exposed to the sidewalk and streets transformed into an intimate secret garden—every gardening enthusiast’s dream!

This returning client wanted to transform their side garden into another space where they could wind down and relax, as well as experiment with their gardening. The constraints of the small space led us to adopt a layered privacy system, creating a customized multipurpose plant palette. Bullet proof plants provide evergreen coverage to ensure screening all year round, with beautiful climbers and vines increasing privacy as well as bringing charm to the space. Decorative foliage was also chosen with functionality in mind, the mix of fruit trees, herbs and flowers making for fresh cocktail ingredients and floral arrangements for entertaining. With four new raised beds, a new gate, a rebuilt deck and management of noxious weeds, this space is truly transformed to look good and feel fantastic all year round!
