Expert Consultations
Let's kickstart your dream landscape with a personalized consultation, tailored to your needs and preferences. Whether we meet at your home or through a convenient video call, this two-hour session is all about actively listening to your ideas, discussing your requirements, and addressing any concerns you may have.
Our consultations are priced at $300 and typically take place on-site at your property. After our meeting, we put in the hard work behind the scenes. We carefully analyze your budget and align it with the desired landscape features. With the measurements that we captured of your space, we communicate with local contractors to ensure that our proposal is one that is realistic and addresses your needs. You'll receive a comprehensive design proposal, detailing the project scope and associated fees, along with a tentative project schedule.
We believe in the value of our consultations, and that's why we apply the consultation fee toward the design project fee if you decide to move forward. Your investment in the consultation ensures that you receive a thoughtful and customized design for your outdoor space, beautifully crafted just for you.
To make the most of the design consultation, please come prepared with photos, irrigation information, and architectural, survey, and engineer drawings, if available.
Detailed Planning
Once we're all set with a contract agreement, it's time to get down to the nitty-gritty of planning. We'll make another visit to your garden, taking extra care to verify the measurements of the space and conducting a thorough site analysis. Our goal is to understand every nook and cranny of your garden, from sunlight exposure and soil quality to climate conditions. These insights are crucial in creating a landscape design that thrives on your unique property.
Our eyes will be on the lookout for everything that matters. By observing what's flourishing and what needs a little help in your garden, from plants to pests and drainage, we gain valuable insights that shape the foundation of your project. These observations lay the groundwork for creating a base map, which will serve as the canvas for the new landscape design plan.
Thoughtful Design Process
With the base map as our foundation, we’ll begin to think through different features and configurations of your space. Our fluid approach involves generating quick sketches that explore various possibilities, eventually narrowing down to the top two contenders. These chosen layouts are then transformed into digital schematics, providing a clear visual representation for our collaborative review.
Your feedback is absolutely crucial, and we value it immensely. We take your input to heart and incorporate it into refining the design plan. Once adjustments are approved, we create a comprehensive final documentation package, essential for seamless collaboration with contractors. This package includes the demolition plan, general layout, planting plan, hydrozone plan, hardscape and decor concepts, a photo gallery of plant options, plant lists, and invaluable horticultural notes & resources.
Seamless Landscape Construction
Now that we have the final design plans ready, the exciting part begins – bringing your dream garden to life! You can choose to take the plans to contractors of your choice and receive competitive bids. Alternatively, for a seamless and hassle-free experience, we offer the option of working closely with our trusted network of preferred contractors.
Our commitment to excellence ensures that every aspect of the installation aligns well with the carefully crafted design. Throughout the construction phase, we stay in touch and support you if you decide to work with one of our preferred contractors. Your satisfaction is our top priority, and we work diligently to make the installation process smooth and rewarding, providing guidance and attention to every detail.

Why Choose Us For Your Landscape Design?
When it comes to complex hardscape projects valued in the millions of dollars, we always recommend seeking the expertise of a landscape architect. However, if your budget falls within the range of $50k to $300k, we have a unique edge that sets us apart from other landscape designers.
With Susan's background as a designer, gardener, and project manager in a construction company, we bring a multifaceted perspective to landscape design. This comprehensive approach enables us to create smart, efficient spaces that align well with your budget and construction requirements. Think of it as having a designer with X-ray vision into your project, understanding nuances that others may overlook.
The benefits to you? Less stress and risk, all while enjoying the beauty, functionality, and enhanced value of a well-designed landscape. Throughout the process, we maintain close communication with you and our trusted contractors, ensuring a seamless and successful construction phase.
Designs that contractors trust & neighbors love
Contractors often tell us how much they appreciate our clear, easy-to-follow design plans. We're always here to provide support, making sure every step of the project is smooth and stress-free. The best part? Our landscapes continue to thrive and look beautiful for years, even when others (other landscape designers’ work) might not hold up as well.
Contractors are proud to showcase the landscapes we've designed when meeting with new clients. It’s not just the contractors who notice—neighbors and passersby often snap photos of our work as they walk by.
