New to landscape renovation, our Willow Glen couple envisioned their backyard to be revamped to cater to their retirement plan, with time with the grandkids, growing food and entertaining guests taking top priority. Working with the existing lawn and garden soil, we created a low-maintenance garden with plants that are both durable and beautiful. The unique plant palette also has the garden looking good all year round with staggered flowering and fruiting seasons. Installed during COVID shifts when SIP was lifted on the industry, we designed the space to cater for the residents’ lockdown experience. With two distinct outdoor rooms surrounded by fruit trees, a double facing seat wall with a propane fire pit, three custom tall, raised beds and trellises made from redwood and a calming water feature, the new space is perfect getaway from work stress, to take a break between Zoom meetings and reconnect with nature.
